Fees and donations are different things
Emmanuel Teaching Mission (以馬內利教學使命團) keeps training registration fees and charitable donations strictly separate. This page covers registration fees. Donations are covered on the Give page — gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and donation receipts are issued separately.
Receipts for registration fees
Registration fees are payments for a service and are generally not tax-deductible. After a training ends, we email each registrant who paid a receipt for their fee. It is a receipt for a payment for a service — it is not a receipt for a tax-deductible charitable donation and cannot be used as one.
If you need a paper receipt by mail, write to [email protected].
TODO: receipt wording pending confirmation by ETM's CPA (fee vs. donation receipting).
When fees are due
Fees are due before the training begins. If you pay by check by mail, your check needs to arrive earlier — the exact date is shown when you choose "Check by mail" during registration, and again in your confirmation email.
Refunds
You may request a refund of your registration fee at any time before the training's first session begins. Refunds are made in full: where a payment processor charged a processing fee it does not return, ETM absorbs that cost. Once the training has begun, fees are no longer refundable.
If ETM cancels a training, every registrant receives a full refund.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with your name and the training title. We will confirm by email once your refund has been processed.
